I have two of them and would get another as needed. Overall, this is the best value reel under $150 for me. The reel is just a touch heavier than the STX models but feels more solid than a Gen 3 STX due to the aluminum side plates. Just 1 generation ago this brake was on the $200+ STX and higher models (I have a pair of gen 3 STX and they are the same brake). The dual braking system (centrifugal and magnetic) is the best at its price point I think. It isn't quite up to an MGL shimano spool, but for anything over 1/4 oz you won't notice much of a difference and over 3/8 oz there isn't really a difference. I have the SHS and standard models (8.1:1 and 6.6:1) for different applications. The aluminum frame and plates are very solid.
